About VTS

The IEEE Vehicular Technology Society concerns itself with land, airborne and maritime mobile services; portable commercial and citizen's communications services; vehicular electrotechnology, equipment and systems of the automotive industry; traction power, signals, communications and control systems for mass transit and railroads.

IEEE has just approved in November 2012 the formation of the joint Communications Society/Vehicular Technology Society chapter in Seattle. The inaugural chapter chair is Titus Lo.

Chapter of the Year

The Chapter of the Year Award has been presented to the Malaysia chapter at the award luncheon of VTC 2012 Fall in Quebec city. In 2011, the Malaysia chapter organized 34 were technical or networking meetings, totalling 3077 attendees. The Malaysia chapter is a joint ComSoc/VTS chapter; the 2011 chair was Dr. Mohamad Hafizal (MIMOS Berhad) and the 2012 chair is Dr. Kiong Tiong Sieh (Universiti Tenaga Nasional).

VTS Distinguished Lecturers Program

VTS has unveiled its new distinguished lecturers program, which makes world-class speakers available to VT chapters around the world. With more than 30 Distinguished Lecturers available to go on society-sponsored lecturing tours, the VTS Distinguished Lecturers Program is among the largest in IEEE.
